Cupramine ok with air stone?

Is cupramine ok with an air stone? I also have a Powerhead and HOB with only a sponge in it (no carbon). Will the bubles from the air stone skim the copper out?

Thanks.

You should have at least an air stone running. In my hospital tank I have a bubble magus C5 with the collection cup removed so there is lots of aeration.

Many times if needing to treat fish, their ability to uptake oxygen can be inhibited at best, hence it is necessary to oxygenate thoroughly.

A HOB & a PH should provide plenty of flow & surface agitation In any QT (I assume this is a QT). I think an airstone is just messy overkill.

Yes it's a QT. I take out the air stone and see if they remain active.

Thanks.

Airstones give the illusion that they are adding oxygen, they aren't. Just be sure the surface is being disturbed some by the HOB & the PH. FWIW; I've run my 55 gal QT for years with a PH an AquaClear HOB filter. Great product, will outlive me and the sponge provides a lot of surface area for the friendly bacteria. Keep an extra sponge in the flow of your main system and it will instantly cycle your QT when needed.
