Cupramine, prazi and Prime

Hi

I dosed prime in my QT yest at the regular dosage. I decided that I was gonna give cupramine another shot so, today I did a 50% WC and added carbon.

Do you think it's ok for me to start dosing? Should I wait a couple days for the remaining prime to disperse? Should I do another WC?

Prime and Copper do not mix. So no, I do not think it is safe. A couple of days should fix that.

Assuming carbon, it should be fine. I seem to recall that Prime tends to "expire"

Some other threads state that prime "expires in 48 hours". But I did a 50% WC just in case.

Yes- I think we are all agreeing on this statement. I'm wondering how long after the water conditioner is dosed, with the combined large water change with carbon, would the water be safe to begin dosing.

I just called up seachem- they said 48 hours is the wait time after dosing prime to begin cupramine. The carbon is of no help to speeding up that process.

Still, I'm glad I did the WC so I will be extra safe.
