cupramine & salifert

i dug this up and would like to know if anyone can tell me their first hand experiences using the salifert test kits to read cupramine levels in your QT tanks.

Regarding cupramine we did not have first hand experience but I have seen several reports which show that the Salifert , albeit the new version with the liquid reagent and a color chart, responds properly to it.

The older version of a few years ago was not able to detect cupramine.

I am using Cupramine right now and have Red Sea and Salifert test kits. In past they appeared to have identical or very close response. But lately I find the Salifert did not respond to increasing Cupramine concentration while the Red Sea does. May be my Salifert copper kit turns bad?
