Curing live rock question...

Guacamole

Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if it is wise to scrub uncured live rock with a nylon brush during the curing process or not. Doing a bit of reading, most places said yes scrub and swish it, one said they didn’t recommend scrubbing. Anyone have any personal experience with this? Thanks

Oh and the rock is being cured inside the tank due to space limitations, its a new 75g setup with a 30 sump and an asm skimmer.

Peace

Depends. Some people like their rock clean, others not. I personally prefer not to scrub since I want to retain as much of the life on the rocks as possible. I never scrubbed mine and now I have zoanthids, mushrooms, feather dusters, mantis shrimp (yes I WANT them in my tank), Sponges, and about 20 other things I do not know the names for.

i don't ever scrub mine..i do, however pull off the dying sponge tissue..it really pollutes the water.. whatever comes on it, i let it stay on it.
