Curing silicone?

I just siliconed my starboard down in my 215. DO I really need to let it cure for 24 hours? I used GE II.

All glass silicone says on the bottle to wait 48 hours before adding water and that it is fully cured in 7 days.

How long did you end-up waiting? I'm curious, because I will be in the same situation in a couple of weeks.

7 days for structural/strength jobs like building tanks. But 48 hours for starboard should be fine.

24 hours but it didn't make any difference. Silicone does not bond to starboard.
