when curing live rock you get offline do i have to use a protien skimmer

I would skim and do regular water changes. I however am not in the "liver rock" camp. I prefer to buy dry base rock for 90% of the rock in the tank. It is substantially cheaper and very soon becomes live rock

I agree with Bean- especially if it is a new tank= not much alive- so if you put in all live rock it doesn't really need to do much yet and the bacteria/et. dies off anyhow from starvation.

there is about 40 to 45 lbs right not about 20 is tufa that i bought for one dollar a pound the rest is live so far nothing seems to be good i just need alittle more

should i wait to add more live rock the tank has been up for 3 weeks and its a 110 gallon
