Current pump issues......

Well I have been wanting to try to put a pause in my current pumps so that I would stop getting a sandstorm in the middle of the tank when the pumps would hit each other on permanent opposite, so I just tried the suggestion Matthias had about making there be 4 pumps on the first group, and then set it to sequence 1, right angle waves, L1 is set for current pump 1, and L2 is set for current pump 3. The problem is that it just sits on current pump 2 and never goes to 3, then 4, then back to 1 to start over again...... It starts on current pump 1, the goes to two, then stays on two over and over again....

Im using version 4.03, my settings are as follows:

PUMPS section:

Count of pumps in group 1 = 4
Count of pumps in group 2 = 0

Current Group 1: To group one belong these pumps 1,2,3,4
Mode = Sequence 1
Min Duration = 0:20:00
Max Duration = 0:20:00
Waves = Right Angled Waves
Duration = 20s
Random wave reduction = 0%

1-10V-interfaces section:

L1 = Current pump 1, min v =1, max v = 10
L2 = Current pump 3, min v = 1, max v = 10

Any suggestions ?!?!??!?!?

Okay, I have ot going through the 4 pumps now, I had to change the durations to 0:00:20.... I think I had it set to 20 minutes till each switch.....

Now the problem is that only the one side comes on and off with the sequence.... When I look at the tunze boxes with the 6101's both of the red lights come on at the same time as well..... Im starting to think I have the wrong cables or something....

Can I put one Tunze on L1/L2 and the other on L3/L4 to try to see if its the wires or not ?!?!?

To find out what cables you have

T1 reacts to L1 and L3
T2 reacts to L2 and L4

So set L1 to illumination 1

Plug in a cable and then use manual overide and manually dim up and down and see if pump speed cahnges if it does then it is a T1 cable

Neither of my pumps will run like that.... :confused:

The only thing that happens is when I get to zero my actinics shut off...... Am I missing a step or something ?!?!?!

Is there any way to tell the difference in the cables by looking at wiring colors in the phone jack connection ??? If so, I think I have two of the same cable because the wire colorings are identical across each jack plug. When I put the pumps on permanent opposite I either have only one pump work, or if I switch L1 and L2's spots on Current pump 1 ans current pump 2, I get one pump that wont stop running that the other one turns on and off.......

Im guessing the Tunze 1 and Tunze 2 wires are different somehow, is there any way to ohm between leads or anything to see which wire is which ?!?!?!? Im thinking I have 2 of the same since the wires are colored identically in the clear jacks.....

Ok I think you have miss understood me.

In 1-10V interface set L1 to illumination 1 then connect a Tunze cable.

Once you have done that use manual over ride

The reason your actinics are shutting off is because you still have the actinics programmed to illumination 1, you are just temporarily changing your program to test the cables.

Thanks for the clarification Michael.... I think something is wrong with one of my 6101's.... It doesnt seem to take any commands.....

I think Ill go shoot a message to Roger in the Tunze section....
