Current trend for Sacramento Area Aquarists?

It's been over 3 years now since I left the Bay Area for Elk Grove. At that time, the number of fellow aquarists that were into SPS coral appeared to be limited to only a select few in the area.

Now, I'm just amazed with what's available to buy and trade amongst eachother.

The most obvious indication is how much the retail climate has changed. Some excellent quality stores have opened up, with more to come.

Please let us know what you're currently dabbling in, as far as marine aquaria is concerned. I'd like to see just how much things have changed.

My 30 as alot of you have seen is just softies and LPS, not one SPS. While my 46 is half SPS and other half LPS, with a few zoa patches and shrooms but NO leathers.

Lately, been on this leptastrea kick and have gotten all these:

Plus a green one that I havent thrown in that pic yet, cuz Im still nursing it. Me and Rob(our club's LPS guru) are gonna split(dont worry buddy I'll make the cut even :thumbsup: )

This is after a major SPS bug I went through, but I still cant pass up a stick if it's special, but Im losin real estate fast.

Btw, Im not sure what size tank now that I did the volume calculator on this sight and it says 46 gallons. I thought it was a 55g , does the calculator just give you water volume assuming rocks and sand or an inch or two of the top, or what?

I've got a 140 sps. and a 30 with softies/lps. Contemplating adding the zoos to sps and selling everything else. Just too costly to have two setups.

my 30cube right now is mixed with a little bit of everything, but mostly sps on the top half, and zoo's on the lower bit along w/ a couple misc.

I picked other my new 280 in the works will be dominated by fish and selected corlas of all types here and there...
