Current-USA Nova Extreme's to Get Individual Reflectors

I just read that the Nova Extreme series of t-5s from current-usa is supposed to start being produced with individual reflectors, like the Tek lights. Does anyone know when this will happen? I am deciding between the Teks and the Nova Extreme. I want the novas because they have fans built in. The Teks do not have fans, but they have the individual reflectors, so it's such a toss up.

Should I call Current-USA?

I just called Current-USA and they confirmed that the Nova Extreme T-5 units are going to be getting individual reflectors like the Tek units.

They also told me that these lights will be available for purchase in 1 month!

update. The retro nova extreme T-5s with individual reflectors will be out in 1 month. The ready to use fixtures that you set on your tank won't be out until spring 2007.

Debaser, thanks for the info. I'm planning an upgrade in Spring 2007.. like you I was looking at the Tek's and Nova's.

Any updates, prices, ship dates for the retro kits? I just got my Nova Extreme (without reading here first ) and then saw this thread. I just emailed them but was wondering if anyone else has heard anything.
