currently using purigen ultimate filtration?

anyone have any experience with any purigen products? i just got the purigen ultimate filtration and am wondering if anyone has anything to say about it. it's rechargable and doesn't chemically alter the water... what could be wrong with it?

I have been using it for over a year in a reactor and it does seem to help polish the water...I'll either re-charge it or replace it every 4-5 months depending on it condition. It needs a very slow rate of flow through the reactor because of the small grain size and unfortunately sometimes it solidifies.
