Hello all!
I have been out of the hobby for about 8 years due to a very poorly set up and funded aquarium that ended up an utter disaster. I have always wanted to build another one, and to take all the knowledge and lessons i learned from the last one and finally set one up properly. After a recent injury left me sidelined for 2 months it left me a lot of time to think and plan something small for what little room I have. It's a farcry from the 300 gallon I dream of but for now it's all I have room for. Please feel free to chime in and let me know if you see me doing nything wrong! So lets get you up to date with my build so far...

35G rimless (20x20x20)
Custom Sump
Custom built stand
Aqua illumination Prime LED
Aquascaped back wall
Reef Octopus BH 50 nano skimmer
Danner mag 3 return pump (350g/hr)
1 1/2" durso drain 3/4" return

I started with a Seapora 35 gallon rimless aquarium from Big Al's and planned to have it custom drilled. I couldn't find anything in the size restraints I required with an overflow pre installed. After weeks of getting the run around from the glass shop on when my tank would be completed, 2 days turned into 3 weeks, I finally received my tank and began to work on the stand.
It was built out of 3/4" cabinet grade plywood
