Canadian made goods are free of duty, as long as they are for personal use.

For ID you are supposed to have either a Passport, Passport Card, Enhanced License, a Trusted Traveler Card (NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST), or a Tribal card. Under 16 a birth certificate will suffice.

Finally, remember you, your car, and everything inside of it is subject to inspection when crossing the border.

I hate the passport thing as much as the next guy.
We used to take the kids to Canada every year on winter recess. Not any more.
Lord only knows how many tourist dollars the Canadians are out.

If you don't want to get a passport have Cavalier Express ship you the aquarium.

When I was at school in Buffalo, I used to go to this place called MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-Op) when our dollar was twice as strong as theirs. It was just like EMS, but half the price. Now it seems like such a pain.

If I can save some big bucks on a Miracles, I may end up going with one myself. But figure, gas, time, ancillary expenditures, and $400 shipping might not be so bad.
