Yes I can be dangerous.I tend to be a bit aggressive in the many things I do as you well know Tony.What prompted me to start building tanks and sumps was when I paid $585 for a commercial sump which required me to remove all my live stock and tank off the stand to install.Then less then a year later it split along one of the seams.I then had to do the same thing again but this time with a sump I built.Well that was 8 or 9 years ago and still in operation with the plus of holding more volume and virtually no micro bubbles to the display with the redundant bubble traps I installed in my version.Well that was about 15 tanks ago.I just wish I was twins so I can do everything I want to each day.lol.Time is now my limiting factor with just about everything
I have seen a few that were not made very well.I tend to over build everything but its nice to err on the side of saftey when it only costs a extra couple bucks and some labor.I cannot trust a pre built unit after the failures I have seen.
