Thanks for the response. Just more or less need a saw that I can use to cut a few pieces of wood here and there. Plus I've got a 10% off coupon at Lowes that will make the saw $180. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Great job on the Coralife 18w "Turbo-Twist" UV sterilizer plumbed to the sump with a MJ1200 feed pump. Would you post some more pixs on how you have it plumbed to your sump. I am getting ready to buy one and would like to see how you installed it your sump.

what I really admire is how simple things are - I tend to make things overly complicated - then when I look at how he used pocket screws w/plywood - I slap my forehead.
I have a really nice cab saw - but the results come from between the ears...he could whip my butt with hand tools (and has!)

A measuring tape, and some math will be useful in determining the dimensions needed to build this stand. It starts with the foot print of your tank... 
It has been well over a year and a half since RedEDGE2k1 logged in here, I sorta doubt he will be back. The dimensions are not as important as the design. It will adapt to your particular situation.
