hey custom,
got a question regarding your drain in the frag tank.
is that piece of 4" pipe sticking out of the drain (with the cool whip container on top) to quiet it?
how is that working?
the pipe is just slipped in above where the teeth are cut?

well my drain burps alot cuz the water goes down then across to the sump then up again to the middle of the sump and in. so it traps air alot and burps up high. the 4" pvc is there for the height and the cool whip is there for the splash. it doesnt bother me to much cuz its on the basement.

i changed the pvc out though. it was in the way of the halide and just in the way

you and me both!!! i love that cave look but in the next few months i will be taking this tank down

yep i will be doing another tank and yep there will be foam!!!!!! plus a few other diy thoughts that i have that i will incorporate in to the new tank and stand...on thing is that i will not be drilling it for a closed loop. i felt that i dont have as many options of flow patterns with a closed loop. plus moving 2800gal at 90+ watts make me glad that i have a vortech now to take over that...I LOVE VORTECHS!!!!<br><br>

<BR><BR>reason why its brighter on ether end is because i have a 250w radium on each end in a diy luminarc reflector on a bluewave 7 ballast...they are so crisp!!<BR><BR>

i hope to be starting it in about one week or so...monday i will be paying $1900 for the rebuilt tranny that just got dropped in the car

i have the tank just sitting on the stand now...at least i have time to think and think and think and think and think and think and think and think and think and think and think and think....well you get the pic
