Custom Glass Tank Builder Here?

I'd like to have an emergency drain too. I was going to run a "herbie" or "bean" setup. One gated siphon and one emergency overflow. I'd like the return to be internal too. I need to see if I can add one more bulkhead in the overflow.

Visio, that's was what he said. I believe that was the glass end of the business. Was named something else for the tank builders. Advance Aqua I believe.

I'm just worried about the overflow situation. I wanted a three drain setup to make sure it was quiet. John talked me into a smaller corner overflow with only a single 1 1/2" drain and 1" return. I hope I can make it quiet. I will have a lower flow system anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem, RIGHT????

John wouldn't steer you wrong that's for sure on a 100 gallon tank you have more than enough drain with a 1 1/2" (it's capable of draining 1800 GPH) as Rob said you only need to drain min. 300 max. 500 GPH on that set up.
You will be fine by the way nice tank's you will be very happy with it.
Keep us posted on your build

I will. Now I need to figure out all the rest of my equipment. Skimmer, Return, Lightng, Etc..

I'm leaning toward an I-Tech or Super Reef Octopus skimmer. Other thoughts under $500 must skim well and be quiet!!!

Ehiem or waterblaster return pump. I want it quiet too, other suggestions?

Unsure on the lighting. Def want a t-5 setup. Not going to deal with MH heat issues

In tank circulation, unsure too. Vortechs are cool, but I don't want the dry side showing . Maybe tunzes with their controller?

i am a very happy Super Reef 200 xp owner. i would suggest it to anyone...

do you mean the xp 2000? the cone version? trying to decide between them all. a review in the reef specialty forum said the cone was alittle louder than the reg version.

Your thoughts?
