Well, my OM 4-Way stopped working tonight. All it does is click and will not change output. What a POS. :mad2:

Just contact Paul at Oceansmotions. He'll help you resolve it. There is a tiny piece that intentionally breaks to avoid major damage, and it is possible yours snapped at that point. The tiny part is really cheap, around $6 or $8, but you may still be under warranty perhaps.

Conda are you going to temp install the divider in the overflow to see how it works? Overflows tend to be touchy.
No, he is going to crazy glue it or something like that.

Ok, I did not know that. I will check it out. I'm ripping the thing apart today to see what is wrong.

Marc,

Your were partially correct. I just took the OM off the system and took it apart. There were alot of sand particles in the cylinder which caused it to get stuck then pop out of the hole it sits in.

I cleaned the unit and put it all back together. Now it works just like before.

Nothing is broken, just scratches in the cylinder and plastic thing that turns. I can live with that.

Thanks!

Sure, I just snapped these right now. If the water seems fuzzy, I did not clean the glass yet and there are alot of starfish still on it--those will be the white dots.

Once my overflow is fixed, I'm moving everying over--hopefully later tonight.

All Stock is now transferred!

I just finished transferring all my stock from my 55 to the new tank. So far there only seems to be one casualty. The yellow tang did not take the move very well--see the pic below:

It does not look like he is going to make it. It took me almost a half an hour to catch him and I thing he stressed himself to death. Poor guy.

Anyway, here are some pics of those things I found on the glass:

Anyone know what these things are?

I hope my YT recovers, I like him alot. He is just laying on the bottom breathing heavy. :(

Looks to me like little hydroid jellys. I had them when I first started up my tank. They are neat to watch but went away after about 2 weeks.

Those are hydroids jellyfish. They are all good, but won't stick around for long. They don't swim like jellyfish, but hold onto the glass.

Sorry about the yellow tang. :(

Do you have a thread for your tank?

naah didnt want to do all the work. . . . taking pics etc. . .

all we are looking for is to see it done with stuff in it anyway.

i just tried to cut to the chase. :D

I don't know what to do with this tang. He is now turning red along the top half of his body and just laying on the bottom of the tank. He is still breathing and looking around at me, but turning red?

Better post it in the fish disease forum asap.
He didn't make it through the night. I woke up at 5am and checked on him. The crabs were having a feast. RIP. :(

Now, what to tell my son when he gets back!

Pics of the survivors

Here are some pictures of the survivors of the move to the new tank. They all seem to be doing well, except for the leather which has not yet opened--but he is moody.

FULL TANK SHOT -- HAZE IS MICROBUBBLES!

--------------------------------------------------

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE -- SCOOTER! He is already eating like a pig in the new tank, so that is a good sign.

--------------------------------------------------

The green star polyps started opening already. They usually take a while to fully open.

tankshot003.jpg

--------------------------------------------------

The clowns and the finger leather. The leather is not attached to anything yet, I pulled him off an old rock that crumbled when I was moving him.

--------------------------------------------------

Here is the cleaner shimp. He lost his buddy a few weeks back to the filter.

--------------------------------------------------

The BTA seems happy in his new home. I could not get him and the serpant star off the rock, so I just put it in with no aclimation--so far so good.

Finally, the boxing shrimp, always hiding. This was a tough shot, so it may be a bit dark and blurry.
