custom seahorse tank

HI I am new here and pretty new to this hobby. I am gonna have a tank custom made for seahorses soon. Is there a perfect size tank for 2 pairs of seahorses? I was thinking about a 24" L x 20" deep x 24" high, whats your thoughts? Also is there any equipment that is a absolute must have that I shouldnt skimp om at all? I really dont want to have buy things twice. Thanks in advance for any comments or advice.

i suggest getting it reef-ready so you can add a fuge/sump. i'd also consider having an couple of extra holes so you can distribute the flow without the need for PH's in the tank.

I would also suggest you get a chiller, well depending on where in Oregon you are. Here in Beaverton I really only use it a couple weeks a year but it is nice to have.

If your having the tank custom made in Oregon do you have a source yet? We should talk I have some experience there.
