Custom tank design questions...

As some of you know, I'm planning on doing a take upgrade fairly soon. Currently what I'm thinking about doing is having GlassCages make me a custom tank with a calfo style overflow. I'll probably contact MRC and have them make an acrylic overflow cover for me since they do a better job on that kind of stuff.

Anyway... what I'm thinking is 3 holes drilled at the top-back (left, middle, and right) with bulk heads. All my returns will be over the top of the overflow. My question is with bulkheads installed, I'll need to do some plumbing inside the overflow and on the back of the tank... how much room inside the overflow will I need to work with and how far off the wall will the aquarium need to be for the plumbing coming out of the back? Inside and out, I'll immediately have a 90^elbow or a T for a dorso amd/or stockman standpipe inside and/or outside the overflow. Also, in the design of the calfo overflow... do you think I should angle the overflow to reduce splash/noise?

I'm thinking something like this:

Any other thoughts?
