There is what appears to be a cut at the mouth. It dont look like another mouth but is from the mouth. The cut begins at the side of the mouth and goes out about half an inch.

Can this anemone be identified. I have had it for 5 months now.

All my water parameters are perfect in a 60 gallon tank, 45 gallon sump.

I hope the pic is clear

For some reason I cant upload the pi. look at my profile picture for as larger picture. I did not know bubble tips came in purple with green tips.

How about the cut on the side of the mouth?

Yeah, that is a bubble tipped anemone, and a nice one.

Looks overall healthy, the cut could be from recovering from a split.

i think you have to split it by yourself ? you can google how or see it on youtube.
IMO, i wont do it. I want it be the only one in the tank. it will look better :D

Yes it could be splitting. And no you DON'T have to do this yourself and wouldn't not recommend it either. Give it a day or two and let us know what happens

i would like to know where you got that one, i have been looking for that kind of BTA for a very long time, around here i can find mag, gigs and red carpet except that

Some guy from craigslist thought it was a LTA and traded a rock with polyps for it. I did not know what it was because it was sucked up. I just found out what it was. I live in California, San Francisco bay area
