What is everyone using to cut the stems of the frag plugs so i can use just the round flat part of it? Also i have a frogspawn with a long stem i also want to cut down before placing it on the rocks. What is the best tool to cut that effectively?

I've cut plug stems with large diagonal cutters, if you can fit the stem in the cutters just start squeezing and it will probably just snap. You probably won't be able to get a flat disc, which is why someone suggested you just buy flat frag discs/ tile instead.

A wet bandsaw is the gold standard but a clean little hacksaw will have no problem cutting through euphyllia. The skeleton is actually pretty fragile and you can cut/crush it with diagonal cutters, but the hacksaw will give you a clean cut that is easier to glue.

I stick the stem in a bench vice so the flat disc sits on top. Compress the vice and the stem crushes/snaps right off.
