Cutting metallic coral plugs?

I have several what I think is metallic plugs that came with some of my corals.
Most of my live rock doesn't contain enough holes for my plugs to sit properly.
My question is how how do I cut the plug or remove the coral without damaging it?

Just start a sharp knife under the glue, a little twist and the coral should pop right off.

I hope their not any type of metal. Metal of any kind doesn't belong near salt water. it will eventually corrode, rust, and cause issues in the tank.

I would just try to cut the plug end off with wire cutters(works with normal frag plugs). This is what I usually do if I can't get the frag off the plug. If the frag is a stony coral, or on a small rock, usually just prying up with a flat screwdriver will usually pop it off.

Yeah I've never heard of any kind of metal plugs.
I personally don't like frag plugs of any kind, I always cut them off using bone cutters, they usually pop right off

They are most likely ceramic, plastic of glass. I've never seen a metal plug and hopefully never will for the reasons posted above. Bone cutters would likely cut it assuming it really isn't metal.
