Cutting Spa Flex Drain Line?

Hey everyone, I am using this for my drain line. (Spa Flex tubing on Left)

Can I cut it shorter and then use a hose clamp to clamp it onto my pvc inlet for my filter sock??

Its very long and slowing up the flow, also the connector on the end is not good for my application.

just cut it with a razor blade and hose clamp it.
