Cutting Uniseal Holes

Quick question, what's the easiest/best way to cut the holes for uniseals in a Brute track can? Hole saw, or something else?

Thanks.

Hole saw is the best way I've found. For smaller diameters maybe a forstner or spade bit, but anything over 1" I'd use a hole saw.

Use that link. The holes have to be just the right size. A little windex on the pipe, along with some brute force, will help it slide in.

just watch the uniseal 'seal' with thin walled applications. the times i used them on thin walled containers, i noticed a little dribble happening here and there every so often. no big deal if its on a concrete garage floor but would suck if its on a Brazilian discontinued heartwood floor.

I have a fix for that:)
If the seal leaks around the outside, as in your thin walled application, simply wrap it with a few turns of teflon tape. Your welcome:D You may need to remove it and add more to get it just right.
I use a drop (no more) of dish soap on the pipe and seal lip to get it in there. Then a shot from the hose cleans it right out. Much more slippery than windex.
