hi, I can easily catch Giant Cuttlefish, Sepia apama, i caulght a 2" long one on the weekend and it was damn hard to let it go what i would need to set up a tank for one, is any one in usa keeping these cuttlefish?
Nice catch dude. But not practical to keep Sepia apama it gets huge! No way to house one of those guys unless your a public aquarium. Seriously I doubt even in a 500 gallon tank you would even stand a chance. I think were talkin 5000 gallons and up.
do u have any idea how fast these thing grow? i wouldent mind keeping a small one but if they only live a couple of years they must grow fairly quick, ive only seen a few big ones man they are strong
All cephalopos grow very quick due to their life spans.
You do have other small er species of cephs down under. Some small species of cuttles and bobtail squids. Plenty ocf octopuses too.
