CVRC Chain Coral Ideas

Sunset Monti

Sunset Monti

I like this one too.

Okay I'll stop and let someone else throw some ideas.

A great choice for color and growth! It;s in the area but still a great one for the chain. This one does well under 150 HQI and 250s. A nice moderate grower and we could easily have enough in 4 to 6 months to go to those on the waiting list.

We will add it for sure.

We need a nice efflo.. never seen one of those around here... a nice big table efflo... That appleberry is off the hook though...

I have Appleberry Monti, and it is just shy of an inch. Roger gets first frag(I owe him). After that any other frags will be up for grabs.
If we go ATL I think one of their limited stags would be a good choice, in keeping in with the fast growth, since most ATL frags are like 1/2 to 3/4in but some of the stags are a little bigger, and a little cheaper.
We should also do a monthly photo of whatever we get and post it so we can all look at our baby grow.

Rare Ausie Acans?
Sounds nice. There are some really nice "rare" micros around too. One link for micros I know of is reefdoctormicromussas.com.
I'd vote for any of the montis listed so far too...well except the LSU one since I bleed UK blue.
Then again I'm always up for any kinda zoa/paly.
Something colorful that grows fairly quickly and tolerates varied lighting. The deepwater acros Tazbader mentioned sound like they could be good candidates too.

I'm surprised you and Chuck had such bad luck with Duncans. They were something I would have suggested since they have a reputation of being fairly easy and having good growth.

I have the next most wanted paly atm.
WOW didn't know you had Purple Deaths :D

That is not the Tyree Neon green polyp toadstool. It has green polyps. I think that is one of mine. Btw, I cannot distinguish the difference between the Tyree Neon Green polyped Toadstool and some of the ORA green polyped toadstools they are very similar.

I think we need a nice colored soft coral, and a nice colored SPS or LPS any other candidates?

not that i have seen it all by any means, but i have never really seen a nice colored soft coral, unless you like light pink or light brown, or dark pink.. or dark brown...

got pics?

I have seen some really crazy colors on leathers online at times, like super green and purplish. Maybe they were just the lights but they were great looking.
