I am very sad. I just lost a lawnmower blenny I had for about a month.
I have a 40gal hex stocked with live rock, one mushroom leather and some mushrooms. I have an ebeli angelfish (for the last 4 years) and a serpent star (also for 4 years).
When I brought the blenny home, he was shy but then came out and fed on the algae in my tank and seemed just fine. I also provided nori and algae wafers. Suddenly, his weight started dropping even though he was eating - and then he died. Since everyone else in my tank is fine, is it possible that his digestive system was damaged? I don't know how he was collected. This is very upsetting since blennies are one of my favorite fish.
