Cyano-Nutrient Issue?

A byproduct of biopellets is bio film which is very rich in Carbohydrates and if not properly skimmed from your system will fuel it with high nutrients levels...

Many have reported that cyno goes away when gfo stops. Look at some ols threads. I for one just witnessed it in my tank. I think has to do with competing bacteria vs algae relative to some phosphate. Not only that but my coral color improved huge. Now this might be from some more additives from koralzuch or whatever you call it. I added bbalance and kbalance. But i really believe tank did better with carbon dosing and cheto algae ball in sump and thats it. No more gfo.

Very interested views and opinions. phaedrus1 I agree what you said. I will stop gfo. I have a little cyano left not much at all. It all started with Bio Pellets and has to do with what you are talking about.
