does any one have i think its cyano or i dont know how to spell it cyano on there sand ive started cleaning my sponge in my bio cube but is there any good way to get rid of it

i have same stuff cyano,im gonna use chemi-clean tomorrow on my tank...how long till i see any changes? can this be add in tank or separate conteiner?

Do you test your nitrates and phosphates? I would presume its from excess nutirients. Possibly in the sponge you mentioned.

my sponge sux,last night i give my fish brtieshrimp and saw the filter suckin the shrimp thru the sponge and like few seconds i see it comiong from the flow,sponge its not catching anything...
