cycle and heat

When it comes to cycling a tank, can you cycle a tank with the temps only being 76?

I have a smaller sized heater than what i should have. I have one on order but it wont be in for a few days.

should i postpone the cycle of the tank (with live rock) till i get that larger heater?

And I keep mine at 77 or so all the time. It'll be fine. Oh - and much better to spread the heating duties between 2 (or more) smaller heaters so that if (when) one fails it can't fry your tank.

You can go ahead now. A heater will help, as higher heat (up to a point) will promote bacterial growth more so than cold temperatures. :)
