cycle bacteria question

Richard,

I saw on your website that you sell the Right Now bacteria. Does that actually help shorten the initial cycle? There seems to be a differing of opinions on it in reef forums...Thanks!

I don't know if it was the Right Now bacteria, the freshness of TBS rock to begin with, or the size of my tank (or maybe all 3)...but I had a very short cycle with Part 1. Ammonia never got over 0.25 and I never had any detectable nitrite. The tank was ready for Part 2 in less than 10 days.

The powdered bacteria stuff that Richard includes is actually decent stuff, one of the best in my experience is the bottled stuff from Seachem called Stability. I use Stability every time I set up a new tank and also when I do water changes.
