I've had my 10 gallon tank set up for about 4 days now with about 15 pounds of rock that the store claimed to be cured. I hand picked it and smelled every piece and none of it smelled bad and there was very little life or gunk on it. I've done water tests once every 2 days now (2 tests total) and have seen no change in ammonia or nitrite or nitrate. However I am starting to see a bug or two come out now and some algae starting to grow on the rocks. It also seems like the white bleached coraline is even starting to regain its color. I still plan on letting the tank do its thing and give it more time but do signs of life and algae growth generally mean that the cycle is done and the rock is now fully cured? I would imagine so because of what I've read in these forums on how the tank first cycles then starts with algae then starts to clear up eventually.
