Take your time! Aquascaping can be a time consuming process, so plan on spending a full day to accomplish your goal. Before you start have a plan in mind. I know that once you start rearranging the rocks you often find the shapes you had planned on are not workable, but have a plan regardless. First figure out mentally what parts of your current aquascape are salvageable and what parts you are sure you want to rework. I would drain half your tank's water into a 30 gallon Brute trash can(s) with a powerhead for water movement, remove the live rock that you are sure you are going to rework and place it in the Brute trash can to keep it wet. Redo the rocks to your liking. Use a spray bottle to keep any rock that is out of the water wet, but remember if the rock does dry off to a point of causing some die off, it isn't the end of the world, you still need to cycle the new tank so it's not that big of an issue. After you get the rocks set and cemented in place, add your new washed sand and refill the tank. Plan on a long day but don't rush things, you are looking for an aquascape that will last you years, don't cheat and compromise on a less than optimum design.
