Cycling question

Hi folks
I have a question regarding cycling rock in a barrel i currently have setup a 180 gallon tank for about 3.5 months i thought i had enough rocks but i guess i did not these rock that i am cycling are from my previous setup because they had aptasia i took down the tank and reatarted with new rocks in my display my question is do i need to do anything i mean like additives before putting them in the main tank and also will it spike my tank?

place in water... keep performing routine water changes till ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, phosphates are 0.. Then its fully good to go.. No additives required..

You are cycling it so all the dead material is gone and won't decompose and cause an ammonia spike..

I agree^^^. Make sure you put in a heater and powerhead in there.
