Cycling Questions

So, I finally start cycling my 125 gal tank last weekend with 100 pounds of dry rock and 10 pounds of live rock from a local fish store. I have a few questions about the live rock. Can some one ID some of the things they see on the rock and do these creatures die off or do I just remove what I don't like after the cycling process.

Looks like a harmless sponge on the right side of pic 1
Not sure what the thing on the left is..

Looks like harmless tube worms on pic 2

You can remove it if you want..
Personally for me that kind of stuff is almost more interesting than what I intentionally put into the tank and I leave it all.. diversity is king..

Great I wasn't sure if it was suppose to die off or not. Do I need to do anything special for them so that they will weather the cycling stage. Ie lighting, food

Nope.. Let it be..
That kind stuff will come and go.. all various sorts,etc..
pineapple sponges will come.. then go..
,etc...
lots of little things..
Here is a good link to bookmark and browse to familiarize yourself with the "common" stuff that creeps up in our tanks and if its "bad" or not..

In general most is harmless and nothing to freak out about..
