Cyclop-Eeze ?

I do both...I just got some of the Arjent cyclopeeze wafers and the fish will kill you for them---more so that the microcrab granules that have alot of other things in them. The flakes say just cyclopeeze on the ingredients!

Thanks everyone. I have read that the fish/corals love it and wanted to know what type to buy. I picked up some frozen today from the LFS.

Great for smallish planktivores, even stuff up to the size of average size anthias and fairy wrasses. Freeze dried is essentially useless as it floats. Frozen is great. I would expect the flakes to be just like most flakes.

I mix it with some RO or tank water before adding, that way it doesn't float :)

Once or twice each week I use one of those metal tipped anti-aptasia syringes to inject small amounts of selcon and defrosted frozen cyclopeez into the abdomen of thawed frozen feeder fish. This is an excellent way of greatly improving the diet of carnivores that can swallow the feeder fish whole. This works best with feeder fishes because of the abdominal cavity. I insert the needle down through the mouth to avoid perforating the abdomen. The anti-aptasia syringe is better than a standard hype because of the large bore needle. In general, frozen foods are superior to freeze dried or flake. High quality pellets are better than either of the last two.

That's what I did, too. I let it soak for at least 10 minutes before adding it to the tank and I turned off the pumps for the next 10 minutes or so. Otherwise you end up with a red coating in your sump.

I would have preferred frozen but I couldn't find it locally.

:D

have used freeze dried a lot, all of my fish eat it clowns, tangs, anthias, swallowtail angel,
even red tailed trigger. soak mine in tank water for a while & dump in. feeding frenzy starts. also one can of freeze dried last a long time. i cant get frozen local

+1. However, I buy the frozen when I am making my own mix of frozen foods. I feel like the frozen is much too small on its own to be used for fish. It works well for corals though.
