D.O.A. Bummer

Well I placed my first order with an online company for fish. I received the order very well packaged and on time with great excitement. When I opened the one bag I saw that my Orange Back Wrasse had died during shipment. I was extremely disappointed by this. It was a beautiful fish (even dead). So I contacted the company and they gave me a credit (my choice) and I will try to receive this fish again once my 14 day guarantee expires.

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with this species of wrasse not shipping well.

You should of ordered this fish from Greg at SRB. I've only ordered a fish once online & it was fine once it finally arrived.

keep in mind all the other items I ordered were fine and fantastic looking. This was the only issue.

All of my fish have come from him except for my blueline angel & I had specialed ordered them. I've seen this exact wrasse at his store before.
At least the rest of your order was o.k.

I will try Greg, but another thing is that they qt their livestock and that is a huge plus in my book.

The color is really nice and sorry to hear about the loss. The tail does look a bit chew up (if its not then please ignore the rest), I could understand this if it was done by the cleanup crew but this was a DOA fish. If it was pick on before shipping out then the stress from shipping difinitely didn't help.

DOA is one of the down side when buying online but most of the hard to find fish are usually not available at the lfs.
