Damaged Elegance Coral

Hi all,
Do these corals recover and grow back into the empty skeleton space. My peppermint shrimp ate whole heads and I am hoping it will grow back. The pieces that are left seem to be healthy although they are not coming out as much as they were before the trauma. It only peaks sections of the flesh and tentacles out and the coloring seems ok. What do you think?
Thanks

Man thats scary... stupid peppermint shrimps eh? It could recover, but these things are so sensitive. I'd ask elegance coral about it.

A picture would make helping out much easier. Peppermint shrimp can not eat healthy Elegance corals. The shrimp was most likely feeding on dead/damaged tissue. It sounds as though this coral is in very bad shape.
