This was an accident cause by a snail. It knocked down an Acropora onto this hammer coral. I think the contact was at least 7~9 hours before I separate them.
Hammer is damaged badly as you can see in the picture, lots of tissue loss on all heads. However Acro was damage free, happy as always.
My concern is keeping a dying coral in my pico tank will cause major water contamination, but I don't want to kill it now because it may have a chance to survive.
I never had similar experience to make the decision, what do you think I should do?
