I lost my first fish in almost two years when I first set up the tank. The original inhabitants were a pair of Perc clowns, one of which had a lucky fin just like Nemo. Anyway, the 45G housed the perc's, a yellow tail damsel and a pseudo. The bigger clown was the dominant one in the tank. Just two days ago I completely cleaned the tank, rearranged the rock, and added a 3" Green Spotted Puffer from my other tank. Everything seemed fine, but today I found the biggest clown in one of the powerheads. All my water parameters are perfect, and my GSP is far from aggressive. I wonder if it was stress related from the new environment and the new addition? When you find fish in a powerhead, were they usually dead before and drifted in or did they get sucked in?
Definitely a sad day for me. The other clown looks so lost in the tank as they were always together. Should I look to eventually add another one?
