Damn LOW LIGHTING at the Cow Palace!

I forgot how freakin dark it was in the cow palace for the garden show. Shoot me in the foot for leaving the tripod in the car. At least I had my 50 f/1.8 with me. My 105 f/2.8 macro was shooting at ISO 1600 to 3200 the entire time. Really sucked, I wish I had VR in that situation. So I gave up on macros, and went for my 50mm and hoped to get some massive Bokeh in that crowded place.

Anyway, I went there with my mother, she had a great time =) I took some pix:

Here I was thinking the Cow Palace was a concert venue only. I was looking forward to seeing some concert shots! Then I found out it's a fairgrounds arena. Learn something new every day.

Nice shots, as usual. I kind of like the horse tail reeds, but the river rock wall with the stick (is that plumeria?) has some real nice repetition/pattern in it, too.
