I have 3 Damsels I have been trying to get out of a tank full of rock for months.
I have hours of attempting with a net at feeding time.
Have not done a trap as has been sugested.
Had a freind get me some fish hooks, real real small.
going to bend the barb so it won't stick and kill them and go fishing.............

Your best bet would be to attack at night. Make the room the tank is in pitch black for 2-3 hours then sneak in and net them. You can use red lights or just flip on some bright lights quickly and stun them. Works like a charm.

I tried to do this about a month ago and had to remove 120 lbs of rock from the tank to get them out. good luck with the fishing thing tough. I didnt have any luck.

I had a snowflake eel eat one of mine.

I'd try the 20oz pop bottle trap with food in the bottom. Worked for me, but takes time.

Just cut the bottle 1/3rd of the way down and insert the top upside down in the bottom. Fish finds it easier to swim in than out. You'll need to be in the room to grab the bottle.
