Can a yellow tailed damsel go in a 65G reef with other fish or is this going to cause problems?

I've got a 4 line wrasse, yellow wrasse, coral beauty, long nose hawk and a fire fish

Fish have different personalities - the yellow tail one I had (back in the day) was a good community fish. The black (domino) one on the other hand was real *****. So mean I had to take every coral and rock out just to get him out..... he would harass a naso tang three times his size.

Charlie is Right. Small pretty little damsels grow up to be 5 or 6 inch bullies. They for the most part as there are always the few that don't but key word is FEW as in very few. It will terrorize what you have in you tank at the moment. If it was a fish only Aggressive tank then yea but what you have will be missing fins and or dead yes they are that relentless before you know it.

I hope this helps

i have a kapung (azure) damsel in my 60g and he is a model citizen. of course my clarki's are pretty aggresive and give him a beatdown every once in while for no apparent reason. i wouldnt imagine that a yellowtail would be much different. but.....everyone has different experiences and the fish have different personalities too. at best it is a roll of the dice.

My yellow tails were always mellow and stayed small, I only have one left (he's 5 years old). I'll take him or her if you really want to get rid of it.

I think we all have taken a tank apart to get a nasty fish!

I hope no one bought that Maroon Gold Striped Clown, I dropped off at Todds' in June.

no, that means you have to give it away, the next person pays way too much for it and then it becomes a huge pain in the butt.
