I did a trial test on it today. It leaks from all of the bulkheads.

On a happier note the closed loop runs like a champ and is dead silent.

For the leaking bulkheads I am thinking about just sealing it with silicone. Good idea or is there a better way?

Don't settle on the silicone with the bulkheads man, get them right now or they'll just be a headache later. Are they new ones your having issues with?

after careful research I have found the cause of the leaks, I put the gaskets on the outside of the tank between glass and nut instead of between the glass and flange. my systematic dyslexia has struck again! Since they are glued to the pvc the only way to fix is to cut everything out and redo my overflows or heavily coat them in silicone. I am trying to decide which would be worse.

ordered new bulkheads and tomorrow I am going to carefully cut off my overflow pipes in the hopes that I can attach them to the new bulkheads

I think you are going the right route Will. I think silicone would only be a temporary fix and could lead to more leaks later. Have patience and get it right the first time.

Update. Been superbusy with work and traveling like crazy so i haven't had time to post anything. Everything is done, its fully plumbed, and mostly full. I should be excited but i am not.

We are moving to phoenix.

House is going on the market next month so there is no point swapping my reef into this tank just to take it right back down.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a big tank that was made with love i have 1 available.
