DARC is proud to announce a meeting on August 15 between 2 and 4pm at Steve Hurlock's House
Directions . If you have never been to Steve's house or if you haven't been recently then you will not want to miss this one. Steve has a beautiful 550 gallon bowfront next to his new 1150 gallon reef. Here is a link to a youtube video of his tank.

We hope to see you there. If you could bring a snack or refreshments that would be appreciated.

Dave

P.S. If you could please RSVP in this thread if you are coming.

Looks like 10 club members will be attending.

If you'd like to join the Denver Area Reef Club, this would be a great meeting to attend.

this is a stick at the top. do we need to rsvp again. if so me +1

There was a complaint a couple of meetings ago that the meeting was missed because the individual ignored the stickys at the top of the page and only looked for new posts. So.. I think Dave was trying to cover all the bases so that members had every opportunity to attend this great event!!

Here are some of the best photos that I took. I must admit that I am not very happy with how most of my pictures turned out. It was very very bright and there were a lot of reflections, besides a lot of pictures of blurry fish :(

Enjoy,

Dave

I just wanted to say thank you to steve for hosting this meeting.I had a great time and it was great to see such a beautiful setup and to talk with fellow reefers.I have to say those were some of the biggest fish i have ever seen in a home aquarium. The vlamingi tangs were huge!-Kieth

Great turnout! Thanks to Steve for hosting on what turned out to be the 1 year anniversary of the 1200g, and thanks to all those who showed up. We had over 30 folks come by, including the road weary Southern Colorado members who made the long trek from as far away as Pueblo.

There was an impromptu Frag auction. Terri Z picked up a nice frag with the proceeds going to Russ and his family, via the SCMAS folks.

What an afternoon, 1200g SPS reef, 550g Bowfront LPS and softies and a 170g Freshwater plant tank. Combine those amazing tanks with the stunning views from atop Bear Mountain, add a great group of folks and it's no surprise that the afternoon was a smash.

Thanks again to Steve and Suzanne for allowing us to invade their lovely home.
