65g Ritteri Tank
I have two clams that need to shift in color. one is a squamosa on the sandbed and one is a maxima halfway up the tank. My question could be answered real quickly with...
will they darken in color when they get used to the new lighting?
I recently switched to 400w reeflux 12k from 2x150w 14k pheonix
I want them to get the nice dark colors like when I ordered them from divers den.
now the real stumper...b/c I do not believe (hope) liveaquaria uses photoshop on their pictures.
I ordered this guy-->
and under my old lights it looked like this-->
has not changed much in color since the light upgrade.
Liveaquaria says they use 400w 20K bulbs in their pictures. the reeflux 12k when using sanjay's spectral analysis actually has more of an actinic peak then all 20k bulbs. I called LA and they use icecap bulbs. If 20K is a must, I have a radium on hand to see if I can get this color out of the clam.
