Dark purple with green polyps - ID

Most of the pictures that I am finding after doing a quick google search look like they are maricultured colonies. After these have been in captivity for a while, there growth patterns change. Acropora Secale a the scientific name and bonsai a trade name.

Me too! Ubfortunately, the guy I bought it from didn't know what it was. I guess it doesn't matter. It has good flow and good light. Can't wait for it to grow!!

:furious: NO red bugs allowed!:furious:

I'm sure I dipped it before I put it in the tank. I will check to be sure. My eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, so i bought an all plastic magnifying glass to be able to really look at them close up.

Thanks for the warning!

oh with something like that i would be excited for it to grow too!! the worst part is the waiting tho haha.. sometimes i wish that they would magically grow in a day!

For sure, but just about everything grows like a weed in my tank. Most corals triple or quadruple in size in 4 or 5 months, easy.
