Hey. Just an FYI. Daves aquastock is giving our club an extra discount. I bought things from him before and it's cheaper than other online stores...

No store front but they do have a "mobile unit".

Online store doesn't seem to have much in the way of lighting and equipment. Understandable, because that stuff is too expensive to warehouse, but can he usually get stuff not on the website easily? How does the price compare on "special orders"? Anyhow, will probably buy my salt and calcium from him from now on.

They special order stuff for me all the time and it is cheaper than other online places.

They can get pretty much anything you want/need

I looked at his website but Foster and smith was cheaper for Reef Crystals. $49 per 200gallon box and up to 3 boxes per person for only $9 total in shipping. I dont think anyone could match shipping 3 boxes of 200 gallon salt for only $9.

I got some 2-part off of him and also a LB reflector to try out. Best price on both of those items. I will be getting the other 2 lumen bright reflectors off of him also.

That's a difference but kinda nickle and dime. If you want to buy 3 boxes and dump $156 at one time to stockpile you'd save $27 or about %15. BUT that's based on his single bucket price. I bet it would be even less if you told him you'd like to get 3 boxes.....and have a club discount.

If it comes down to a couple of bucks it's probably worth keeping a local company in business.

+1 to Kevin, Its worth a couple bucks more to not have to spend that much on salt at one time and support a local place that supports the club and the hobby at a hobby level, not a big chain trying to make a million of us...

He has a price matching policy and will do everything he can to match a retailers pricing online or brick and mortar stores.
