One note....You should siphon the stringy matter with a turkey baster, don't let it stay attached to the nem. Siphon also remnants at the bottom of the tank.

I know I am picky, but if you can, try to provide alternating or random flow rather than unidirectional. Any means to make the gig feel more 'comfortable' will go a long way improving its condition.
