ok time for a update after getting 2 deep blue tanks in, both being poor craftsmanship and scratches on the glass i was talked into going with the oceanic illuminata 57 rimless.must say im very glad i went with this tank so much better quality the difference in the overflow makes this tank 100x better! i also bought some brs rock 15 lbs of tonga and 15lbs of pukani and started scaping i will get some live rock to seed the tank with and finish scaping the left side, heres a few pics

i was given the idea for the eggcrate by ryan at fintastic and will stayfor the rock to sit on.
i purchesed a reefkeeper 2 and a second mp10 for flow now if i can decide on what direction for lighting lol.
As far as size goes no big deal I hope I was told the more water volume the better which is why I have a 90 gal sump on a 75 gal display. Nice stand I did the eggcrate too very stable for the rocks plus it takes pressure points of bottom glass
I have never seen or heard of anyone using the eggcrating under the sand until I went to Gone Fishing's house last weekend. What exactly does it do for the tank?
Would you use the egg crating if you have fish that burrow, or would it be for regular fish only? I am getting ready to build my daughters 75g tank, but she has an eel that burrows under the rocks. Would the egg crating be useless in my case here?
I have a melanaurus wrasse and it has no problem burrowing in the Sand at night provided u have enough sand I guess. Should be no different than running into glass at the bottom of the tank fish are smarter than we think
well after making about 75ish gallons on and off this week the tank got filled and ran for a day with just rodi water.this morning i added the salt and a bunch of live rock and rubble, along with 45lbs of sand.heres a few pics
